The Only Copy I've Got

A Poem

I wonder if you could help?
It’s this photo, you see
I wonder if you could reproduce it,
on your machines, such
clever machines, can you do that?

I know it’s old, but it’s
the only copy I’ve got,
and it was such a magical day,
I’ll never forget it,
I remember saying that even now.

You can? How splendid,
is it possible to watch?
My son’s into computers, though
I don’t see him much,
I wonder what he’s doing.

Oh, this chair is comfy, yes,
I’m watching the screen,
I’m very excited, I expect you
can tell, what a nice job
to reproduce memories.

He’s my ex, you see,
and someone said the
other day, quite out of the blue,
he’d died, so I went through our stuff,
and found it, quite near the top.

I know he’d like it, my son
that is, they were close for a
time, I think, closer
than I thought they
should be.

Oh, yes, that’s not bad,
good copy, for sure, what
a clever machine, now, please,
how much will it
cost me?
